The mysterious Deaths of Prigoshin, Nemtsov and Navalny and the Direction of Russia

The conflict between Russia and the West continues to intensify. Based on the mysterious death of the Russian opposition leader, a situation has been created where serious accusations are being made against Russian President Vladimir Putin, and this can also be called a new rise against the socialist regime, where democracy is not equally available to everyone.

This criticism has been renewed since the mysterious death of Yevgeny Prigozhin, head of the Vanger mercenary force, a friend of the Russian President, who led a rebellion against Putin’s government in June 2023.

On June 23 and 24, Prigozhin pulled his troops out of Ukraine and tried to seize power in the southern Russian city of Rostov, and he strongly insisted that he would march on Moscow and mount a major offensive.

However, this operation was unexpectedly stopped within a day, and the Russian President pointed out that this resulted from a severe betrayal. The head of the Wanger mercenary force, who was amongst the closest people to President Putin, angering the Russian President was also hastening his destruction.

In the year 2023, he had to die along with ten other people due to the accident of the jet in which he and his group were travelling.

Killings equated to cold food

After the death of his old friend, President Putin announced that Yevgeny Prigozhin, head of the Wagner mercenary force, was a ‘person who made serious mistakes in his life’. After the death of Chief Wanger, the Director of the American Intelligence Agency, William Burns, also issued a special statement.

He pointed out that revenge is Putin’s habit. He also emphasised that it is common for Putin to like cold food. It is implied in the statement of the Director of the American Intelligence Agency that Wanger’s boss was killed according to a plan of President Putin.

Leaders of many countries , including the American President, believed they were not surprised by Prigozhin’s death.

Nemtsov’s death is also a mystery

Meanwhile, the killing of the famous critic Boris Nemtsov, a leader of the opposition party in the country, can be identified as a matter for which the Russian President was severely criticised.

In February 2015, Nemtsov was shot dead on a street near the Kremlin. It was also revealed that he had been killed after participating in a discussion on Russian radio and that Nemtsov had strongly criticised Putin’s policy regarding Ukraine.

Russia also did not take steps to conduct an impartial investigation into this brutal death.

The death of Alexei Navalny and the controversy that shook the world

Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny dies mysteriously in this background. The Western media repeatedly reports that this is a mysterious death, and all the accusations from the West are directed at President Putin.

He died in a prison in the Arctic Circle on the 15th. It was also reported that 47-year-old Navani was in good health and died the next day after appearing for his trial through Zoom. In late 2023, he was taken to a penal colony in the Arctic, considered one of Russia’s most brutal prisons.

Opposition leader’s wife’s statement

On the 16th, his wife, Yulia Navalnaya, emphasised that there was suspicion regarding the death of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny. She made this statement at a security conference and appealed to the international community to join the fight against the Russian regime.

Leonid Solovyov, the lawyer of the deceased opposition leader, had told the Russian media that he was not able to comment on the matter at this time, and “the Russian authorities killed him in prison” had said the social media that Alexei Navalny’s close friends. And they pointed out, “We have no way of confirming that.”

The leadership that spoke out against corruption

Alexei Navalny was leading a robust anti-corruption campaign. Navalny, who launched all attacks targeting President Putin, managed to address the people fearlessly.

He organised an anti-government protest in 2017 and was arrested by the police during the rally. It was also alleged that Russian intelligence agencies poisoned him, and the then-German leader Angela Merkel arranged to take him to Germany and give him treatment.

He will return to Russia in 2021 after a full recovery. On the day of his arrival, opposition leader Navalny was arrested as he disembarked from the plane. He was later sentenced to 19 years in prison and died mysteriously while serving that sentence.

Putin’s Reluctance

President Putin has not yet made any statement regarding the death of his opponent. But programs are being organised all over Russia to mourn Navalny’s death.

However, there is a situation where President Putin does not take steps to provide freedom for such cases. This is when observing that more than 340 mourners have been arrested.

The controversial statement of the Lithuanian President

Human rights organisations have also taken steps to monitor this very closely. During this time, Lithuanian President Gitanas Navushda makes a more controversial statement. He emphasised that the Kremlin regime brutally murdered the Russian opposition leader.

The Lithuanian President has also stressed that the Russian regime is a “brutal” and “aggressive” regime and that the international community should intervene in this regard and dedicate itself to the establishment of democracy in Russia.

It has been two years since Russia invaded Ukraine, and the death of the Russian opposition leader has created a more poignant moment.

The President of Ukraine has also emphasised that Ukraine will continue to fight against the “cruel invasion of Russia” and expects all support from the international community for that.

An atmosphere has been created in which the United States is also contributing more intensely to support that fight and supplies Ukraine with all weapons and weapons.

President Putin initially said he hoped to liberate Ukraine from demilitarisation. Ukraine is the second largest country in Europe by land area. The population of the country is 44 million.

The population of Russia is 144 million. The Ukrainian-Russian border is about 2295 km long. 17% of Ukrainians are Russians, and some parts of Ukraine’s eastern and southern provinces are majority Russians. The price of a fuel barrel rose to $100 for the first time in many years because of this war.

Meanwhile, the Western media is emphasising that Russia is arbitrarily trying to spread its power around the world. The West thinks that this can be identified by analysing the Ukraine war and the mysterious killings.

This is another ideology that is presented in this way: that the Putin regime is no longer doing justice to the Russian people and that facilities should be developed for the Russian people to enter into a peaceful process of building Russia through a different path.
