Confirmed Fixtures,Dates, and Venues for T20 World Cup super8

As the group stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 comes to an end, we eagerly anticipate the next phase of the competition.

With only eight teams remaining, the stakes are higher than ever as they vie for a chance to reach the semi-finals and inch closer to the ultimate prize.

A few strong teams are thrown out

India (Group A), Australia (Group B), Afghanistan (Group C), West Indies (Group C), and South Africa (Group D) are the five teams that have qualified for the second round so far.

India, Australia, and Afghanistan will be in Group 1 for the next round, while West Indies and South Africa will be in Group 2. All these teams have been unbeaten in their respective groups and are shaping up well for the next round.

Second-round details

The second round begins in Antigua on June 19. The next day, the unbeaten India and Afghanistan will face off in Barbados in an important match before the tournament’s knockout stages.

This will be India’s first match in the Caribbean during this tournament. Afghanistan, who suffered a close loss to Australia at last year’s ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, will look to make amends when they meet again on June 22 in St Vincent.

Following these matches, co-hosts West Indies will take on South Africa in their final Group 2 clash on June 23 in Antigua.

South Africa have historically dominated the West Indies, but the tables turned last month when the West Indies clean-swept the three-game T20I series at home.

Another significant match will be held in St Lucia, where India will clash against Australia on June 24. Antigua, Barbados, St Lucia, and St Vincent will host all 12 games in this round.
