The strong New Zealand team managed to take the lead at the end of the first 5 matches of the 2023 World Cup.
The teams competing to be among the 4 teams that qualify to play for the semi final are currently lined up as follows.
New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan and Bangladesh are leading with 2 points each and the order of those teams is determined according to the net run rate obtained.
The fifth place is occupied by India who defeated the strong Australian team in their first match.
India limited the innings of the Australians to 199 runs in yesterday’s match.
The Indian bowlers did a great job to do that and being able to defeat the Australian team for such a low score is the best example to understand the strength of the Indian team.
While playing the reply innings, the Indian batsmen were not able to score easily. The Australian fast bowlers managed to take their first three wickets very quickly.
But unfortunately the match swung towards India after the catch given by Virat Kohli was dropped by the Australians.
When Kohli finally got out, he had accumulated a valuable 85 runs.
KL Rahul, who supported him well, scored an unbeaten 97 runs.
However, at the end of the first five matches, the situation is as follows. But it remains to be seen how this situation will change in the next five matches, starting with the match between New Zealand and the Netherlands on October 9 and ending with the match between Australia and South Africa on 12th of October.
