Hollywood is Also Affected
Hollywood is said to have suffered the most damage. Flames have consumed many celebrity homes, including Leighton Meester, Adran Brody, and Paris Hilton. Reports say that the residence of the British royal couple, Harry and Meghan, has also been affected by the fire. However, weather and disaster agencies believe it may rain in the coming week. Until then, the fires are likely to continue spreading, according to these organisations.
Emergency Conditions Declared in Several Areas
Certain areas have declared emergency conditions in light of the situation. California disaster agencies report that at least five wildfires have erupted since last week. The first fire has destroyed over 25,000 acres, including areas near Pacific Palisades. In total, fires have damaged approximately another 20,000 acres as they spread through cities like Altadena.
Firefighters have successfully brought some fires under control in the foothills north of Los Angeles. Another fire is spreading through the Hollywood Hills area, having grown to 100 acres quickly, but control has been established in regions like Woodland and Olivas.

High winds and gusts are the main reasons for the rapid spread of fires. The dry foliage is severely inflammation-prone, contributing to the wildfires. Despite this, the specific reasons for these extensive forest fires have not yet fully been identified, according to U.S. authorities.
However, David Akuna, head of California’s firefighting service, stated that they still cannot definitively explain the current wildfires. The Santa Ana wind conditions that blow from inland towards the coast are considered critical factors in the spread of wildfires.
Winds exceeding 60 miles per hour significantly exacerbate the situation. Poor rainfall and extreme heat conditions have also contributed to the wildfires. Experts state that the likelihood of fire outbreaks has increased.
