National People’s Power is JVP, and Harini Amarasurya only

The National People’s Power, a coalition of 21 organisations, including the prominent Janatha Vimukti Peramuna, has successfully formed a new government in Sri Lanka. This achievement comes after they secured a significant two-thirds majority in Parliament, enabling them to implement their legislative agenda without opposition.

This electoral victory is being hailed as a landmark moment in Sri Lanka’s political landscape, setting a new precedent in the country’s history. The coalition aims to address critical issues facing the nation, including economic reform, governance, and social justice.

The Janata Vimukthi Peramuna is the most potent political party within the National People’s Power Party, making their contribution to this victory significant. However, when examining other organisations, it becomes evident that they are not as strong. Therefore, I believe it is essential to investigate these organisations more closely.

The objective of this article is to thoroughly investigate the information that can be found about these organisations on the Internet. We aim to analyse various online sources, including official websites, social media platforms, news articles, and other digital resources, to gather comprehensive insights.

By doing so, we hope to understand the organisations’ missions, activities, and impact in their respective fields. This exploration will help illuminate the public perception and reputation of these entities and their contributions to society.

The people gave power to a responsible political party

The people have entrusted the responsibility of governing Sri Lanka to the National People’s Power, established with the Janata Vimukthi Peramuna at its core, along with 20 other organisations. Among these, the Janata Vimukthi Peramuna has earned the most significant trust from the public. However, there are uncertainties regarding the influence of the other organisations involved.

The faith of a country’s citizens in a ruling political party is not the only factor at play; populists around the world are also observing it. The public entrusts governance to a responsible political party or organisation rather than to groups established for specific purposes.

The situation regarding specific organisations within the National People’s Power Party is not entirely clear. If these organisations are legitimate, they should be registered according to the country’s laws. Otherwise, the international community will struggle to trust a political entity formed by the merger of several organisations that lack a solid foundation.

The Janata Vimukthi Peramuna is responsible for the National People’s Power political party’s actions. Thus, this party must also oversee the functioning of its associated organisations.

However, the website of the National People’s Power Party lacks a clear description of these events, only listing the names of those organisations.

A responsible political party

However, this is not how it should be. A responsible political party ought to provide a clear description of all the organisations that are part of it.

It should clearly outline the organisation’s ethics, its government registration status, the type of organisation it is, the board of officers, and the area in which it operates.

None of these details are mentioned, and such a situation is not suitable for a political party that governs the country. The citizens granted the right to rule to the National People’s Power without fully understanding the other organisations within that party.

Only a few of the organisations under the National People’s Power are currently active. Additionally, it is unclear whether these organisations are operating in accordance with the law. If they are, they should be made known to the general public.

Additionally, the granting party, Janatha Vimukti Peramuna, should investigate the agreements made with these organisations.

As long as the National People’s Power government is in place, all 21 organisations should continue to be part of the government. This is because the people empowered the National People’s Power, which was formed by the combination of all these organisations.

The website maintained by the National People’s Power, the ruling political party in the country, lacks detailed information. It is a standard website and does not present a favourable situation. The entire world recognises them primarily through this site.

The JVP is no longer a minor party; it now governs the country. Therefore, they must take full responsibility for the nation.
