2023 cricket world cup
The 10th match of the 2023 World Cup was held today at the Lucknow Stadium. Australia and South Africa competed today. Australia won the toss and decided to bowl. Batting first, South Africa scored 311 runs for seven wickets. Quinton de Kock played an outstanding innings and scored a valuable century. It is his 2nd century in this World Cup. Australia bowled out for 177 runs in the reply innings. Thus, South Africa won by a massive 134 runs.
Australia cannot afford this defeat at all. So far, they have lost all the matches they participated in.
However, South Africa won both the matches they played and came on top of the points table. At the end of 10 games, South Africa, New Zealand, India, and Pakistan are amongst the first four teams, respectively.
Australia has to play against Sri Lanka next. The match will held on October 16 at the Lucknow Stadium.
This match is critical to Australia as well as Sri Lanka. Currently, both teams have lost two games they participated in. Therefore, it may be challenging for the team unable to win this match to qualify for the World Cup final.
Twelve centuries have been recorded at the end of the 10th match, which has become a batter’s paradise. Apart from that, 28 half-centuries are also included in this.
